2IJS The 2nd International Symposium on jackals and related species will be held during 31st Oct to 2nd Nov 2018 period in Greece, in Marathon Bay, 25 km from Athens.
We invite independent researchers or academics - graduated and students undergraduate researchers alike - working or interested in the field of jackal and related species ecology, conservation or management to submit the abstract related to the recent work you want to present HERE before 30th of April 2018 (midnight).
The topics mentioned in this 2nd International Symposium are related to the following species: golden jackal (Canis aureus) African black-backed jackal (Canis mesomelas), side-striped jackal (Canis adustus), African wolf (Canis anthus), American jackal - coyote (Canis latrans), Ethiopian wolf (Canis simensis). If there is interest on related species, sympatric or parapatric we might accept works related to Red fox (Vulpes vulpes), Arctic Fox (Vulpes lagopus) and Gray wolf (Canis lupus).
Beside the oral communications and posters of registered participants invited to present their works, this year the organizers prepared a three-days selected and exclusive Jackals Ecology Course with key speakers internationally known in the field of applied ecology, genetics, biology and behavior, toxicology, zoonoses and parasitology, population dynamics, taxonomy or wildlife conservation and hunting or management. The course structure includes 14 oral lectures of approximately 20-30 minutes each one followed by 5-10 minutes open questions and specific moderated debate.
